I took this whole week off from work and figured I needed something to do, so I got the good ol' pa-883 3" body lift.

It was a pretty big job, but nothing to what I have done in the past to my other vehicles.

So after 2 days and a total of about 12 hours, 5 packs camels, and 25 cans of beer. My brother and I finished the lift.

Here she is with both bumpers removed

If you dont have one, GET ONE!

Doing the pass side first... I just bolted together a few 4x4's to make it a little more stable.

A total of 6" of lift and only 31" tires... not so good

So I had to update right then and there! So I did a little triming and a wash and wax... and here she goes!

Sitting on 15" MT's with 35x12.5 BFG mud terrains

Then I had to test out the new tires!

I am very pleased with how she turned out.
And I wanna say thanks to:

GJarret
and ShadowRaven
All your post helped me complete this project!

You all have been askin so here are some updated pictures!
Shes a little dirty cause we had some "snow" the week before xmas
Had a little fun with the AWD
Still gotta get pics of the new bumper fogs and aux lights
Also I added "sid skirts" from a 95 EB and painted them to match my tan

:chug: Good lookin Eddie....Nice work

Did you do anything else, other than the 3" BL to be able to clear those 35's? For some reason that thing just looks like it sits higher than normal... with the lift*

Good looking Ex!!

I have pretty much everything you have... TT up front shackles in the back with 2 ton load helper springs on the leafs. and of course the body lift.
The first picture only has the tt and shackles. But my EB came with the air ride. So it always kept it leveled out and made it look taller.

hey what beach is that????????.

That would be Assateague Island... about 10 miles outside of Ocean City.
$90 gets you a day pass or $120 gets you a day a night pass and 12 miles on the Maryland side of wheelin.

Truck looks great, now I found another pic to ad to my explorer screen saver.

where on earth did you get those tires? ive been trying to find them but all i find are the KM2s

One word... "Craigslist"

I found both the Mickey Thompsons and the tires on Craiglist for $250
The guy took them off his wrangler.
Only thing wrong was they were covered in break dust.

x2!!!

Fantastic-Bumpers are straight too! A rarity.

How in the world did you clear those tires in the front and still retained the EB running steps???

U have any pics of behind the front tires?

more pics :P

this is unbeleiveable, Looks really good, i have exact same setup as you and could barely fit my 33's.
what gears do you have?
also whats the offset on the rims?

With just a little triming of the fenders you should be able to fit them on there. I took off about 1.5 - 2" off the fenders. But once you put the fender flares back on you cant see them. but you do have to trim the insides of the flares and the running boards. I will take some pics on how I did them all.

Im not sure about the offset. I didnt really measure that yet. All I know is that they make the tires flush flush with the flares.

Im not sure what the gears are? Stock '98 5.0 AWD

Lockin' hubs that’ll take you through a deep rut!

Looks awesome. :D
