Strike, Great looking Explorer. First snow pic I've seen on here in a while. Make sure to post up a picture when you get the lift on it.

Ok, so I got some better pics of the grille. I'll be buying black headlights with the black clear corners probably in a month or so. Maybe I'll wait until the holidays and catch a sale. I realized my grille had some chips in it already  So I was able to get some black paint and a toothpick to touch it up :)

Nate, I agree with -Strike-, the grill looks real good!!

Say goodbye to those ugly a$$ running boards, black rustoleum paint on frame--starting to look a lot nicer. My beginning of my journey on making this truck look great

Looking at putting in the bumper fog lights and fog lights on the bull bar, putting on some window rain visors, and hopefully a lift before next summer, 2-3" just gotta figure out which lift will work best. Any ideas?

Sweet looking Ex. I love the color. Keep up the good work!:thumbsup:

Good looking X.
Good choice on the bull bar. Same one as what I have and it is a sturdy and good looking piece.
And...
This bull bar must be a growing trend. :D Within the last month, three people, including me, have posted up pictures with this style bull bar on their X.

Thanks!
Is yours the Hunter Truck Gear bull bar as well? You cant beat the price on it for $105 and $30 to ship it. Why pay over $300 for the aires or other brands. Does the same job. I like this style as well that doesn't have that metal plate that curves around the bottom. I like the more open look on it.

Here's my X's latest addition....a bull bar. Ordered it from Truck Gear Direct on Ebay Motors.

looks great on yours too! I'm looking at getting some grill inserts like that as well. anywhere on the forum is there a post on how to install them? have to take bumper off?

Installing the grille is a simple job. The upper is just a one for one replacement, the lower is a little more complex. I didn't do it correctly, but I don't have a lower insert anymore. But the plastic "lower bumper" is drilling holes and using the mounting hardware provided. I now have just an upper black billet grille. No bumper removal necessary.

Sounds good, I'll see what I can do to get the lower mounter.

For the bull bar, I got under the truck and started looking at the frame with the brace in my hand and was totally lost as to how to get the brace inside the frame without taking the front off the truck. I then realized the wires on the braces are there to fish the bolts into the holes. I had a total brain fart with that. :D

boosted d16....
looks like you did have a fun day of wheeling. From looking at the pics you pushed the "limits" (3 wheel action) of your X a few times :D A swaybar disconnect kit for these 3rd gens would be wonderful.

I did indeed push the limits quite a few times today, but that's what makes it fun lol I like to live life on the edge! (LITERALLY)

What color is ur ex? i like it. sweet pix too. nice to see these things getin off the pavement.

ooooo lala

what is that black piece behind the back left tire running parallel to the ground?

If we're talking about the same thing, its a air dam on a kia:rolleyes:. To make sure I know I answered the question the other (on the explorer) is a "mud flap".

Thought I'd post up some really nice pictures. I've reverted to the orange corners in anticipation of black headlights soon. I sold my old clear corners. :) So enought talk and the pics:

Recent stuff: I painted the black billet grille (lower), new upper grille, OEM corners (the orange really irritates me ), new pioneer radio head unit (deck).

Nate, I don't know if your Ex makes the mountains look good or the mountains make your Ex look good!!! :dunno: J/K

How about some pics of the new head unit?
