Can anyone point me in the direction of a thread that gives a comprehensive list of what size LED bulbs to use for a complete interior swap including the outside puddle lamps? I have done this to my other car and want to do it to my new(used) 02' X.

I have tried to search, but I only seem to find bits and pieces of info.

Thanks for any help.

First, go to www.sylvania.com go under auto lighting and find the listing of every bulb your truck currently uses.
Then you can research the base of each light you want to replace,(typically the bulb is in a holder).
Then you can go to a LED site such as www.superlumination.com and cross reference each base to hold the led of your choice, of course leaving room for the resistor if needed.

Below is the listing for every bulb in your explorer from the sylvania website.

thats dead on accurate! Go through V-leds.com, ebay led's dont last very long...trust me.

Thanks for the info. I use a place called autolumination.com for my leds. I have had good success with them.

Oh...I see autolumination and superlumination are the same site.

good luck, post pics!

I'm thinking about changing all my interior light to LED also. Did you get yours done? can you post some pics

How do I remove the center dome light without breaking the tabs & also what size bulbs are in the sunvisor?

Check out this thread for accessing the dome lights: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=294316

To access the bulb in the visor use a small, thin screwdriver and carefully pry the lens off. Once the bulb is out you can match it up.

It is a great post. Damage82 did a nice job with the write-up. I've been using it to do my dome light conversion to LED's.
