Okay, was thinking about the new kid soon to be born...no VIN yet. It it should be soon. I'be been enjoying all the names, StormTrooper, Grey Ghost, etc. Our 2013 XLT is going to be green gem metallic and FordMomof3 already has Kermit...great name! So we are debating between Gir and Gumby. Any thoughts? Other ideas? We thought about Yoda but thought that would fit a green Focus ST better. Gir is so mischievous and fun but Gumby is such a special place in my heart. Stumped.

I like Gumby! I was Gumby for Halloween one year!

Maybe name it Hal Jordan?

I started calling mine The Blue Walrus because I saw the front end reflected in the vehicle in front of me and that's what it looked like.

My oldest daughter was pushing for The Millennium Falcon, but a friend of mine sealed the deal when he started randomly referring to it as Larry.. and it stuck. :)

I haven't seen - or paid attention - to the shadow this car makes yet but my 2005 Freestar had a shadow that looked like Shrek.

Some others thrown my way:
Jolly Green Giant
Quantum Gemerald

My daughter is calling it "Sebastian"

I am one that doesn't typically name a car until it's personality is known. For example, my 1999 Windstar used to flash it's lights all by itself, as we were driving down the road, all the cabin lights would come on then go off - weird stuff like that. So obviously - her name was Christine :)

The 05 Freestar was such a pain getting the thing. Felt like we were beating our heads against the wall. Her name was Stella! (pronounced "STELLAAAAAAA")

So maybe you need to get in it and drive it a bit?? Figure out if there's something that stands out??

So love this green! :)

In the immortal words of Eddie Murphy. I'm Gumby Damnit!

That's two for Gumby, one for waiting to see the personality bloom, and one for Hal Jordan, er Green Lantern. Rewatched some Zim today...hey, its been raining for days and I was bored...and I gotta say, I love the little Gir man. Can't do the Hulk, its an Ex, not a Land Cruiser, and will NOT be ill tempered. Or at least that's the hope. Jolly Green Giant is pretty cool. But I feel like I should perpetually have a car full of peas and carrots with that name. Sorry FordMom, I just can't do Quantum Gemerald.
Gir is happily humming a tune while trying to take over the world. How can you not love that? And then, I would love to think of our new kid being as flexible and agile as Gumby, who is also known for his cute little smile. Hmmm, maybe I will post a poll...:D

liratoad,

I’m on board with Gumby. IMHO, the Explorer smoothly glides around effortlessly like Gumby. I smell a poll! :)

Pics or it didn’t happen, RonJrSVCMGR. ;) LOL JK

Jolly Green Giant...
FordMomof3,

That’s another great name.

Maybe name it Hal Jordan?
Great minds think alike, maerlim; my first thought was Britt Reid a.k.a. The Green Hornet. :D

Cory

I originally suggested the Kermit name for mom, glad it stuck! Always been a fan of Gumby.....so that would be my choice for you....Gumby...... or Green Goblin......

Or just simply call it booger snot :D

Bwahahahaha!!! That would be a Ginger Ale (ducking from any Ginger Ale owners)! :)

ROFLMAO!!

Sorry FordMom, I just can't do Quantum Gemerald

I don't even know who/what it is (except it's from Futurama) - I just think it sounds cool.

Behold... The Quantum Gemerald:

At least peas and carrots get along!

I think Gumby is perfect :)

So the official count right now is 3 for Gir... one was me testing the survey and two were my husband, using two separate computers and running around saying "My vote counts twice! My vote counts twice!" 3 for Gumby and no write ins, as of right now. A few minutes ago my husband came up with Green Bean, which is pretty cute, but again, we are back to the veggie theme. Going to keep the polls open but it looks pretty good for Gumby right now!

done! voted.

Gumby is growing on me :)

Update:
4 for Gir
5 for Gumby
1 write in for Green Bean

Keep voting!!

Update: Gumby has a strong lead at 7, Girl with 4, 1 write in for Green Bean and a new one for Sprout.

Syphilis.
