I have a 2002 explorer and there's a water leak coming from a small (about 1/2" to 3/4") rubber cap where it's coming from. It's close to the firewall and it's on the passenger side of engine block. Does anyone know what that's called. I've been to auto store's they don't know how to replace part because I don't have a name for it.
thanks in advance...........

Please post a photo of the offending part. That might help.

The little rubber cap covers the hole where the little pink pencil is...

Whats the name of that little rubber cap??

Thanks for your response.

Looks like that's going to be a dealer part. I doubt if a parts store will carry it. I always try them first before going to the stealer. Good luck.

Go your favorite auto parts store and go to the "Help" section and looks for vacuum caps. The "help" sections is usually next to the rack with screws, tee connectors, clips etc. From your picture it looks like just a cap and the clamp keeps it on.

Thank you all! What a simple fix! I pulled the cap off and sure enough it was dry rotted! Ill be going to the auto parts store tomorrow to buy a replacement. Thanks again
