Once you start driving longer distances on the highway, a one hour drive doesn't seem far at all.

To be honest, I'm the furthest away from Guelph of the 4 of us. Lol.
Where in Vaughn are you?

Okay so the shocks arrived , man there big compared to stock, and of course didn't come Compressed, ,
Maby if i use my bottle jack to compress them??

IMO, the easiest way is attach the top first then put the bottom on the saddle of a floor jack to raise it, but lay a flat pry bar between them. Raise the jack to height, lever the bottom into place with the pry bar. You might be able to substitute a sliver of wood or something for the pry bar, or just fight with it a bit with only a jack. If you have to fight with it too much it's a sign the jack isn't at the right height.

Just installed them, was pretty easy with air tools, to align the bottom up I used a Nylon Strap to strap it up onto my Jack, then jacked it up to the hole to fiddle it in.

Took me 1hr 20m.

So happy saggy ass is gone

Thanks for the help guys

So these shocks are still here for free, I'm gonna replace my front as well soon, thinking the Monroe OE spectrum, Motorcraft or the KYB gas adjust, any ideas and feedback

I had that diff cover but man wouldnt seal had some grooves in the face so went with the B&m cover

No its not lifted, but these ranchos should be fine? I can get a pair for 105$ CDN
RS5229 for stock height. Order the RS5374 only if you plan on lifting.

Does is have a drain & fill plug? Only reason I want one is because my fill hole is rusted shut.

Were and how much u grab that for?

Also looking at this diff cover pretty sure its the right cover for the 8.8 ?

The Ranchos are fairly heavy duty but for mostly on-road I'd go with the KYB Gas-Adjust instead, or the KYB Monomax for heavier duty, or if the budget has no limit then people like Bilsteins.

The Ranchos just don't seem to dampen as much which would make for a smoother ride on flat straight road, but then there's the RS9000 series being adjustable to tune to your preference.

Yes it has a fill and drain plug. It also strengthens the ring gear and cools much better than other diff covers, actually very impressed with it

I believe I paid $160 or so through Partsource or Napa

Ya that k&b is a little pricey about 200$, the gpower is 120$
Plus 2 liters of 80w90 RP is 35$ at CDN tire and I also grabbed 4oz of XL3 from Ford for 5$

Oh and I bought a actual gasket not the permatex stuff always had bad luck with it.

Also dropped my tranny pan and changed the filter and fluid, Mercon V from Ford was 5$ a Litre and the filter + gasket 15$ from part source.

Just did 75 140 royal purple man that's expensive

Weird mine calls for full synth 75 140 no friction modifier needed and it is lsd
