For those who have less bars, what length did you go with?

Awesome. I measured and thought the 52 inch would be to long. Who did you order from?

Personally I would put a straight one under the front roof rack cross bar, and maybe even double it by also putting a identical one on top of it.

Sorry for the delay... auxbeam is the light and I forget who makes the brackets. Both were bought on Amazon. The brackets are for a Silverado. I pressed one of the bends out off the bracket.

If you look closely at the bracket, you'll see a slight wave where the bend was before the hydraulic pess had its way with it.

Just my thinking on this, but it would be so far back that hardly any light would hit the ground in front of you. It would eliminate the possibility for the pesky windshield issue though

Yes, I too, was thinking a lightbar attached to the crossbar would be kind of neat.
Glad TechGuru had the same Idea!

That's what a additional one between the bumper and grill is for, hehe.

SPSully,

How did you mount the light bar in your bumper? I am planning on doing the same but am not sure where and how to attach the mounting brackets.

TIA.

Personally I would put it on top of the bumper below the grill.

I built a bracket behind the pumper so its mounted to steel and not moving. I do 75-100k miles a year, I'm not letting mother nature rob me of my light bar. I dont have pictures of the mount.

Here's my 2005 explorer set up I used the same brackets and a 52" curved and 24" light bars. There's actually a metal plate behind the lower ctr grill that I used to mount it.

That's pretty sweet. Thought it may have massive rebound glare from the bonnet
I'll have to look into something like this for shooting foxes

Hey guys, long time lurker! What do y'all do with your switches? Right now I have 2 button switches hanging (out of the way) on both sides of my steering wheel, and I am looking to make it seem like its supposed to be there, but i'm having an issue with deciding what switches to buy and where to mount them. Any of your advice would help greatly!!

I put mine on right side by radio. It actually fits perfect have the another switch in there for when I add the rear off road led bar.
