I'm sorry if this is supposed to be an obvious answer but I can't find it. On a 99 EB is bank 1 o2 sensor on the left (drivers side) or the right (passenger side). I'm getting a code indicating downstream sensor on bank 2 is bad and don't know which one it is. This is a new vehicle to me as I had a 94 XLT before. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Bank 1 is the bank containing cylinder 1 which is the front, passenger side in the US.

I finally found the answer that bank one is the passenger side of the vehicle.

Was in O'Reilly's yesterday and customer had an S-10 with bad O2 sensor. Guy behind counter was telling him bank 1 and bank 2 referred to the upstream and downstream sensors. Wrong!

Talked to customer outside a bit to set him right.
