Testing out a new gauge display - see last comment
My goal with this gauge is to have as much of an OEM (like Ford did this from the factory in 2000) look as possible.Fuel pressure and A/F ratio would be big data items. The A/F ratio I want to see prominently if possible, such as below the main cluster, or on the A pillar. The boost level should be a less important daily item, the others I think of as warning information more than the boost. You need them all while setting it all up, tuning it etc.
Yes the test function on my meth system is niceI agree I lean to an OEM appearance or feel for everything. But I also go to the best things, information in this case, I want the most important things easy to find and see.
That display used for boost and fuel pressure will be very good and useful. For an application that is mild in its power enhancement, that will be good. If it was a 15psi boost level, I'd push hard to say the A/F ratio is critical to see constantly, and the IAT's also if they could possibly be an issue. Using meth/H2O injection makes IAT's constantly critical, with a large intercooler the IAT's should be manageable without too much worry.
I think with 6psi of boost, once you get it tuned right, then the fuel pressure and A/F should be the main and minor needs. Those are related of course, so the fuel pressure would be the one to worry about a weak fuel pump etc.
It took my a ton of research to find the proper length exact fit InjectorsThe Motorcraft Mustang GT500 injectors have been installed. The fuel rails had to be lowered in order to fit the new lower profile injectors. This has been completed.
