yeah guys, I'll update here also. I swapped the 19 tooth pink speedo gear that I had, for a yellow 18 tooth one, and it smoothed out my shifting quite a bit, and I'm pretty sure it put my speedometer much closer to where it should be.

Just to update, I put the 18 tooth speedo gear in (from ford dealership $9) and I definitely notice a difference in shifting. The hesitation that seemed to be there is now gone. I recommend the 9 bucks and 10 minutes of work to have a better driving car!

I am wondering if the bigger tires threw off my transmission though. Ever since I put them on, the car has been shifting a little rougher. I've read that recalibrating the computer for larger tires can fix the shifting. Anyone know?

My CEL came on and i got it scanned. EGR insufficient flow. I've heard that it can be either the egr valve or the valve position sensor. The problem is I have no idea where those are. I have searched and found descriptions of where it is, but to a guy that doesnt know diddly squat about cars...

True. its 50 bucks for a 16 pack of 2 ounce bottles. Total, the 16 bottles treat over a 1000 gallons. I guess it can't hurt. I want to buy the scangauge first, so I can get accurate results. I'll post results if I ever end up trying it.
