Both back glass and door turn on the dome lights. I had additional sensors installed with it. It was expensive but when I saw all the wires they had to run I was glad I didn't have that headache.
The headlight spray is called night shades which I'm sure you've heard of. A lot less money spent than buying covers. While I was herculining it and upgrading the fog lights I had to use the dark headlights for 5 weeks. They put out plenty of light. I never use my headlights now that I have the...
You're right, the headlights need redone. :D how boring would the world be if we all looked identical? I have the covers for the lights but have only been pulled over 1 time in 6 years of them being on the ex. And no chips or cracks from rocks.
I had this alarm installed the end of November. When I picked it up the installer said he "had the car tore apart wire up all the doors". Today I realized that the back door is NOT wired into the alarm.
OPINION: Should the back door have been wired up too? For $800 I feel it sure damn well...
Do you guys happen to know if the rockers on that site will work for an 01 sport? The year for the rockers are 91-01 but I'm unsure how identical the rockers are.
Thanks for the offer. I went up and cleaned the MFS again (2nd time) except I removed the dielectric grease I put on the circuit board the first time. Wipers work the way they're supposed to now. Only time will tell though.
Thanks! I got it for $400 off Ebay from seller futurezet. It's identical to trail worthy fabs bar http://www.trailworthyfab.com/Trail-Worthy-Fab-40-LED-Light-Bar.html
I'm actually in the process of making my own alarm with mercury switches. And the hitch has that lock too. I was curious how everyone else protected theirs. I'm always open to different ideas!
There have been an onslaught of vehicle break ins at our apartment complex and the last thing I need is my trailer broken into/stolen. The explorer already got broken into which is why I'm cautious now.
I already have a black iron pipe from wheel to wheel locked, the tongue is all locked but I...
I have 2 12" Memphis power reference that are 250w RMS @ 4ohms. I decided on this amplifier b/c it'll be 300w RMS x2 channel @ 4ohms. It wont be in any competition so 50 extra watts won't hurt the subs...
The subs are 400w RMS 2 ohms. So I would get an amplifier that puts out no more than 900-1000w RMS x1 channel @ 2 ohms. B/c once you break it down to both subwoofers you would get 450-500w RMS x2 channel @ 2 ohms.
The amp in Coreys link will only send 125w RMS to each subwoofer once broken...
The entire thing is primed & painted. A little paint got knocked off b/c I didn't wait long enough to let it dry but I will get it powder coated later down the road. Looks a lot better than that big gray honeycomb thing! haha
35W 3000k HID converted Hella 500s in place of stock fog lights. BRIGHT!

Stock alarm, insurance covered 70% of it. Sorry I can't help you out Dom, I personally wouldn't skimp out on an alarm system. Good luck and let us know how it works afterwards. Oh and I had a stereo shop install my alarm, they did a pretty good job.
Car Insurance covers everything stolen that was "permanent". Renters covers what was not permanent (except subs-go figure). I won't technically live in PA for a long time, I just like my PA plates so I won't register in another state.
Trust me I'm beyond pissed. But I've taken as many...
My LED tailgate bar on my Explorer is hardwired in w/ the trailer light plug. I figured out what wire was what b/c I added this http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/HOP0/48055/N1542.oap?ck=Search_N1542_-1_2186&categoryRedirect=N1542&pt=N1542&ppt=C0241 before I did the bar. The manual should...
