I would like to do that but the LED strips are about as bright as brake lights. So I don't want to cause confusion and/or get pulled over. Thanks for the compliment too! :)
I don't DARE look at his truck crooked, let alone customize something! lol That truck is his baby and has been for 14 years. Although I have tried to put some of my own touches on it without success :)
I agree. But my dad is set in his ways. He said that all Chrysler radios were never good and he hates the (insert expletive term) aftermarket radios. He liked the in dash 6 disc and the setup of the Pioneer so he asked me to look into it. Nothing wrong with a little customization anyway.
My trailer is a 6x12 v nose that weighs 1200lbs empty. I've towed it well over 5000 miles with my Ex, including a recent 1000 mile trip this month. The v nose makes it very aerodynamic as compared to a flat nose brick behind your vehicle. You won't be able to maintain 65 mph if you care about...
I could do that. My wife and 21 month old son would be with me though, so hopping in another vehicle wouldn't be that easy. :) I'm seriously considering this though, even if it were just for the day.
This really has me stumped. Could be the LCA bushings like Turdle said. Did the top ball joints fully seat into position? Were you able to install the pinch bolt? If not then that in theory would make the knuckle sit lower than it should on the lower side. I sat here for 15 minutes staring at...
Free bump.
I just did a quick little Google search and turned up nothing but i'm sure you could find what you're looking for if you search more. I take it you got the sub assembly? The hardware is in the box inside a sandwich bag, the tape was MIA so it wasn't taped to anything.
If I didn't have 29" street tires on mine I would surely go. It does great on rock and dirt roads with a little mud but i don't know about alot of mud! :( I actually still have the stock rims and tires...
There is no difference what so ever between 2nd gen 4 door leafs and the 2 door leafs. The ones in mine are from a 96 4 door but I also added leafs into that pack from an f150. That Pro comp kit will work.
Thanks for the reply. I talked to him and he said he doesn't want to cut his dash. Understandable. If he decides to roll with it then I'll get pictures and post them up.
I have never heard of a Spartan locker so I'm not the one to ask for that. But the cross pin is 7/8". That is what keeps the axle shafts from smacking together and preventing alot of side to side movement in the axle shafts. Maybe someone could chime in and further elaborate if need be.
Just got off the phone with my dad and he hates the stereo in his 1998 Cummins dually. My 6 disc in-dash cd changer has been in his house for 4 years and he just found out it's an in-dash cd changer tonight. Is it possible to correctly wire this radio into his Dodge and have it all functional...
I can't use an impact with my wheels so I drop it on the ground and tighten them after I do my best to tighten them in the air. Guess all that will change...
That is completely unacceptable because there is a lift point at the top of this picture. I hope you get it all sorted out, this actually ticks me off too. Good luck!
The trailer weighs 1200 lbs. empty and for that Snowshoe trip I guesstimate I had about 600 lbs in the trailer. It tows it very well for a V6, although it is slow going up through the mountains. Very hard to keep momentum.
Airlift helper springs: http://www.airliftcompany.com/products/air-springs/ridecontrol An absolutely incredible product for anyone that tows or is planning to tow anything or just load the cargo bay up. This could be used to level out Explorers with the gangster lean too. Also this could...
So I decided to bite the bullet and get the Ex. ready for this upcoming summer road trips. In no particular order I accomplished these mods:
1. Replace body mounts
2. Remove subwoofer & replace with storage compartment
3. Airlifter helper springs
4. F150 leaf springs custom mod
5. Trans...
The non-ethanol station I filled up at sold 87 non-ethy gas. I found a station that is alot closer and has 93 octane non-ethy gas.
Judging from my last non-ethy tank I know it increases mpg, but would the 93 octane give additional increases? Or would it just add more power and no increase in...
This thread tells you everything you need to know.
1. But in a nutshell, you should pull all bolts out from one side and loosen the other side 3/4 of the way, using heat if necessary. My front bumper valance got caught on my tow hooks and light bar and actually started lifting the entire...
If your significant other (if applicable) is pregnant, then I'd put them back on. Personal experience though! BUT it looks great without them, only thing you'll notice is more mud down the side of the ex.
Would either of you guys happen to know size\thread pitch for the 5r55e test port on the drivers side? Also can I remove the test port without draining the fluid? Ya'll have very clean setups for these remote filters too!
At first glance I thought you wrote "OFF" on your truck with mud :)
What size center bolt did you end up going with for the leafs? Truck looks great by the way.
