Are the hooks too far into the bumper? I think it would be better if they stuck out some in case you have to tug at an angle. (like if you were in a ditch) You just wouldn't want them too far out because it wouldn't be as strong. Just making sure that you've thought of everything...

A variety of sizes will fit. You should worry about the bolt pattern of the wheels you are getting. Ours are a 5 x (114.3mm or 4.5")pattern Also, (assuming you have 4x4) you need to find a wheel that has an opening that will let your front hub stick through. Good luck with your hunt

The mach I 17"s are actually 9" wide and have 6.1" backspacing though

I've noticed that in the 2003 Sports and Sport Tracs, there are extra handles on the A-pillars like in the F-150s. Is there a semi-easy way to install these? If so, where could I get them besides from ford. I'm sure there aren't too many wrecked 2003's yet...

You could make it so they vent in the rear windows like in the expeditions if thats what you mean... Otherwise, there is almost no way to make the back two "roll down" like the front four. The wheel well and the fuel fill are in the way.

With the experience i've had with a chrome one on a f-150, it lasted for 12 years (longer than the rest of the truck body). It didn't look bad after that long, and chrome looks good anyways, IMO
