i just finished installing power lumbar seats...a flawless installation....the only thing though.....i put the switch upside down and i dont have the trim on the side so i am using my old one and it looks funny...other wise it is great and i love it...it reclines back real far and sits up real high...its cool...oh yea and the lumbar bladder...comforting...hehehe....it only took about 7 hours to completly put it all together...replace the seat track...install the wire harnesses...connect it all...slight drilling...and running the wires up to the fuse panel, keyless entry and my memory switch in that i put in the middle console where the tissue box/ change holder is...since there is not enough room on the door where it is factory located under the power mirror switch is but...damn FORD centered the power mirror switch on that flat piece of trim...
o'well it looks great right where it is right above where i have my two factory fog light switches are...i took the housing that did house the fog light switch, defogger swtich, and the rear wiper switch from a junkyard and put it in two extra factory fog light switches and my memory switch for the seats...

That's great!! Congrats on the install!

I have a question for you though. How hard was it to install the memory switch? I would like to put one in my X so I don't have to worry about other people driving it and messing up my seat position.

thats awesome.... good work... now we need some pictures :)

i took some pics...im gonna get everything developed this week then post it....

and for the memory switch, it wasnt that hard...its just 6 wires that go to the memory module...that is what you really need...pull one out of a limited at the junkyard...

Wow!!! You're really making progress. I really want some Limited leather seats and the memory module. How much did it cost you???

The power seat track, switches, harness, module, memory switch, lumbar motor and air bladder with air lines....$60

Big Country, I'm impressed with all of your work. You need some pics for us to look at though...

i know i know...i took like 35 pics so far just need a friend to scan them and put them on...

Im already ahead of you....i want one so bad, i would need the whole steering column that will include the steering sensor A & B for the AIR RIDE CONTROL...also, that includes parting out the dash just to install the EATC (ELECTRONIC AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER) just to get to the actuator....and that will be needing a speed controller also, already have all the sensors for it and for the AIR RIDE CONTROL, i got the module, switch, and something else...i cant figure it out what it is yet, but it came off a 94 limited...right next to the RAP module....has 3 wire harness connectors to it...the cd rom saying its the compressor assy. but thats off of a 95 manual...i only got 95 and 98 cd roms...this mod will be a toughy...i need to get a NGS tester for it so i can do the height sensors and front/rear fill solenoids and along with the rear gate valve. and i am learning more about it here and there...and from the looks of it, it seems as if the air lines are connected up to the shock absorbers...or in that case....shock actuators. Also, in 98...for limiteds, there was a change for the ARC...instead of all 4 wheels there are only the rear wheels that will be operatable...which sucks!
i also got another memory module for the passenger seat, i just need the switch for it and i will be installing it right on the passenger door...
also, what i want to do is to get a master switch trim for the passenger side...so i have to find one off of a right handed vehicle....vbtruk found one for me for $125...but that is too much...so i will wait on that until i go to europe in the next couple of years...also, what i was thinking about doing is putting a power mirror switch on the passenger side....cuz ya know, when the wife drives sometimes...stop at a store or something...just you in the passenger side...nice a$$ come walking around...so then i could give an innocent glimpse without turning the head having it been suspected or caught in the act...hehehe...or just because i want more than limited!!!
hey, if its electrical...no problem...it can be done...

Congrats on all the hard work. So when do you wanna come over and start the First 2-Door Limited? ;)

Are you going to do the auto ride on all 4 wheels or just the rear?

HAHAHAHA....i will start a 2 door limited if i had one...i wanted one...the 4 door for the family and a 2 door for me but i am selling my mitsubishi eclipse so i can get a crouch rocket...(yamaha R6)...oh yea...but just last month the damn eclipse blew a head gasket, so instead of paying $1,000 to get it done, i found an engine off of a dodge avenger, same engine...and i will be replacing that in the next couple of weeks...
And i will be moving soon from this cold a$$ Alaska in 6 weeks and i will be driving down to ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO...i am taking 5 weeks off of work...stop by in Olympia, Wa and see the family, also, picking up my passenger power seat track so i can make that side a memory seat and i will be picking up my chrome rocker panels (skirting) that i got off of ebay...then heading down to Las Vegas where i got a friend there that owns a low rider shop and he will be hooking me up with some 20" rims and any thing else that i want done to my X...i put in a dvd player in just last week its a portable one, just something cheap so my daughter (19 months wont be bored, then get a motorized pop out monitor, but i am thinking about a paint job...candy apple red will look good with chrome... also, perhaps even monitors in the head rest...or a couple of visors with monitors in it. And i also want him to put my keyless entry keypads in for both driver's side and passenger side...i got the keypads and the wires already there so alls he has to do is drill the hole...anything else,I dont know, it will be fun though...then after that...head down to Yuma, Arizona...see my dad, he hasnt seen his grand daughter yet...then head up to ol' Albuquerque...Kirtland AFB...once i am settled in, i will buy a faster computer with a scanner then become elite cuz this site helped me out to become limited...it is time to give back to this site....once elite, i will post my pics and have a home page on car domain for the rest of the pics...
If anyone around there that wants there X to become limited...give me a hollar and i will help ya on it...

anyways...the 2 door isnt that much different from a 4 door if ya wanted it to be a limited, most of it is electrical, the only thing that i am unsure of is the Air Ride Control...it is a possibility, just got to make sure that the shock actuators will fit...
but anything else like:
factory fog lights/ switch, fog light mod, auto lamp/dimming mirror, overhead console, message center/ lamp outage warning module, long high series middle console, rear intergrated control panel, courtesy lamps for front and back, factory keyless entry, cd player: system, dvd player, and rear washer bottle...no problem...its a cinch!!!
its all about knowing how to read a schmatic and wire diagram...if you can do that, you should have no problem.

Hey big ....I have a Limited 95...if you want to see pics oof it...just copy my link...please men post some pics so that we can all see this baby !
