The 235/75/15 is not even an inch bigger than your current tire. I'd go with those.- FROADER

16.6mpg on the way back with the cruise set at ~80mph. That's better than the explorer which is about 15.2. And, I can't drive 65 - 70mph on a 500+ mile trip. CEG is right :)- FROADER

Wanna mount 265/65/18 - Minimum lift required?
I would go for the TT up front and either shackles or AALs in back. I've heard that AALs make the ride stiffer, but I also know some people that have them and flex ok when off-roading. The TT will make the front stiffer so maybe if will balance it out. They're only like $30 from Summit, and...- FROADER

Wanna mount 265/65/18 - Minimum lift required?
:shifty_ey You know the 2nd number is a percentage of the first number, and not a measurment of milimeters right? 275/45/20: Diameter = 29.7" Width = 10.8" 265/65/18: Diameter = 31.6" Width = 10.4" 31.6 - 29.7 = 1.9 or 2" (rounded) So yes, yes I do say so...- FROADER

Wanna mount 265/65/18 - Minimum lift required?
275/45/20 is 2" smaller in diameter as a 265/65/18. The 265/65 is about a 32x10.5 tire. Look through here. Dead Link Removed- FROADER

Replacement for Trac-lock?
I do have the Detroit locker in this one, and did in my old explorer that was a DD for over 3 years. There is no clicking, and IMO tire wear is only if you don't learn how to drive with it. It doesn't chirp around corners unless you're heavy on the gas, and the "Winter Season" here is not a...- FROADER

Full Detroit locker is my vote. It's fine for daily driving and gets you that much more traction. Plain and simple.- FROADER

The only problem with the torino job is the black at the bottom doesn't go all the way to the front wheel well like the explorer does. it wouldn't look right. I'll do it though.- FROADER

I would give my left, no...yeah left nut to be able to draw like Foose. I can get it there but it would take me a couple of weeks probably. :) Thanks though. #1. The stirpe goes across the top of the hood to match on the other side. #2. Start the dual stripe and then come down to the side. #3. the top view of the truck. Maybe add a small pinstripe underneath the thick part.- FROADER

FROADER's '04 E-350
So since you're all wondering, the 3/4 and 1 ton van 8 lug pattern didn't change with the rest of Ford's 3/4 and 1 ton vehicles from 8x6.5" to 8x170mm. The change took place for the truck/excursions etc... in '99. I was going to pick up some '02 Lariat 5 star wheels today that I found on CL...- FROADER

That 600 should get that thing going pretty good. Looking good. When I get home I'll find a pic of a homemade buggy I took while in pismo. I think he said it was a ~'91 honda 650, that he used. It hauled ass!!- FROADER
