so if someone can tell me what all i need to get started, front axle, rear, etc???
LOL lotsa money is key!
But seriously start in the SAS sections of the forums and decide what direction you want to take after seeing the results.
You can go full width front and rear like I and many others have done, or shorten a solid front axle to 8.8 width -because the 8.8 is actually pretty strong the way it is.
It`s a lot of work, time and money, I started mine because I got a set of "free" axles, well they are now the most expensive "free" axles you could own!
When I had my axles I literally surfed this site for hours to see what others were doing. Another thing I did was surf another few sites that featured
what my axles came from. -mine are 78/79 Bronco axles and there are tons of bronco sites with lifted 78/79 broncos AND they even swap in solid D44 axles into later year Broncos that have the TTB, Those write-ups combined with Explorerforum write-ups was all I needed, with the exception of easy access to a lot of essential tools and maybe even some mechanical aptitude. Wait... and of course writing it up as I went along was a great aid because of the community here, where guys will pipe in with thoughts to share, warnings, etc. So it`s not like one guy has to tackle it all alone, there is some awesome, helpful guys around here, am I right? I mean look at Froader up there for instance, the guy`s a saint!
Anyway I`m bored and rambling so good luck!
PS don`t go Dana 30 unless you stay on the street.
