new muffler
More air in and more air out will help just about any engine. Your truck won't be fast by any means, but it will improve the performance just a little.- FROADER

2008 Ranger?
I would say it depends on the use the truck will get. If you plan to off-road it and leave it stock, then yes it's worth it. If you plan to just drive it around town, or go completly custom lift and really beat on it, then IMO all the extras aren't worth the money up front.- FROADER

911 !! gears and install !!
First of all, I said, "I'm guessing..." and wasn't accusing the tranny guy of anything. Second of all, after being on this site for over a year and asking all kinds of questions about lifts, gears, tires and costs, went to a guy and said you shouldn't go lower than 4.10 for 35s and the price is...- FROADER

I knew someone was going to say this and it depends on the stock gears, but either way this is bad advice. It's not the gears that are getting hurt, it's the already weak trans that heats up to turn the bigger tires... I'm still curious what your budget is?- FROADER

I'm guessing that since he's a tranny shop, he doesn't want you to regear so you'll F up your tranny so he can charge you up the ass to fix that too. I'd stop going to your buddy's shop.- FROADER

Well there you go, you just listed what you should do. :) To your list add: 1. wheels with 3.75 backspacing (for clearance issues) 2. 4.56 gears, front and rear (will be fine on the road and even better in the dirt) 3. lockers front and rear (obvious reasons) and you'll be able to go just...- FROADER

As long as you resized them, I think you should be able to "attach" them. You'll see the option after you hit post reply just under the area where you type. Or use photobucket or some other hosting site. Or you could become elite and be able to upload pics to your user gallery.- FROADER

colindo94 fullwidth swap
I think a custom pack is your only option now. Otherwise it's going to be too stiff. Unless...(not the best solution by any means :p:) you put in another leaf and build a custom rear bumper with tire carrier. The leaf will lift the rear and the bumper and tire will be heavy enough to smooth...- FROADER
