orbital mounting
Other than a write up on TRS I am not seeing very many posts on mounting an orbital valve to a 91-94 for full hydraulic steering. I need some ideas on where/how others have mounted their orbital valves. Again, needs to be on a TTB gen rbv frame. thanks!- Four0Sport

Jack's SAS version 3.0
I spent a couple hours in the garage earlier and got the dorman offset ps pulley on the psc pump and all is right in the world as far as the belt lining up. Thanks to Ryan again for sharing a pn. After that I found a small piece of steel and made a plate to mount the ps reservoir bracket...- Four0Sport

planned on getting a few more things done today with the weather being decent but I found coolant around the timing cover again. seriously at a loss as to why. replaced the gasket 4 yrs ago. truck might have 5k miles on it since. odd how on the pass side it is leaking from the bolt...- Four0Sport

It sat outside of their shop for over 6 months. I had to ship them parts. They hadn't done anything like this to an Explorer. I'll stop there.- Four0Sport

Jack's SAS version 3.0
So yeah, my goal is to have it at EJS in the spring. Longggg way to go so I have been trying to get small jobs knocked out on it whenever I get the time. One of those jobs was to relocate the battery as the passenger tire will try to occupy the same area as the battery tray when turned at...- Four0Sport

I am going to throw a lot of info into one long post to get this caught up to speed. As some of you know I took my Explorer to a 'reputable' shop to have some work done that I thought could get done faster than if it sat in my baby garage for a year. I was wrong, they had it well over a year...- Four0Sport

gear scores continue.. my brother in law came in from NC and decided he was getting rid of his arb awning. chevy 63s
Yeah I can find the desert ranger boys doing it all day long.. I however want to keep my leafs under the frame. hmm.. this may be a challenge. width is right, front hanger can stay where it is currently, can box rear of frame in and run a shackle off the back of the crossmember.. just curious...- Four0Sport

chevy 63s
Maybe I have lost my searching saavy in my old age but I cannot seem to find a single 'good' thread showing chevy 63 leafs under the rear of an Explorer. I am contemplating running them in the rear of my sport to get a few inches of rear stretch and still use an inexpensive factory leaf. If...- Four0Sport

It's rattling more consistently, mainly under load. I was able to snag an 80k engine for a ridiculously low price and heard it run prior to being pulled. Its sitting at work waiting for it's time to shine. Maybe I should service it while it's out. ♂️ Truck runs great and got 18mpg on a recent...- Four0Sport

Managed to get a few things done this weekend between shifts at work. I picked up Affordable Offroad bumper for a Ranger, as well as a RCI skid, also for a Ranger. While these items did fit nice I will say they are not direct bolt ons for an Explorer or Sport trac. The frame horn bumper...- Four0Sport

So after being over time and way over budget I brought the Explorer back home. I have grown to like the 4.0 sohc over these past several months which made it a perfect time for the dreaded timing chain rattle to flare up. Apparently the off-road economy is in the pooper because I can't sell the narrowed 44 out of my 93... This winter may see me using all the good parts from the 44 and 8.8 to build a full width 44/8.8 for this thing. Don't blame me.. blame the economy.- Four0Sport

2003 SPORT TRAC TIRE SIZE
My fuel door sticker states 235/70r16, it had 255/70r16 when I bought it. I believe someone put 225/70r16s on yours because of a price point or availability issue. The smaller sidewall profile of the 225/70r16s could be the cause of your issues. FWIW I am running 255/70r17s (32x10) on my...- Four0Sport

The PO of my vehicle has also been into the doors as the lh interior panel is busted. Adding a sport tank was on my mental maybe list to achieve a doubler, only issue with that is I lose fuel capacity. I have a manual 4406 and shifter assembly stored in my parts shed but the slip yoke leaves a bad taste in my mouth.- Four0Sport

5.0 4r70w np205 This will most likely be the direction I go unless persuaded otherwise. Only real downfall is the poor 1.96:1 low range. Then I travel the slipery doubler slope. But since this will not be a dedicated crawler I may be able to live with it.- Four0Sport
