Rear door latches?
Yeah I did see that, I just have to find a way to get my hands in there. There is a whole lot less room in the rear. I think this door has been closed shut for some time. It was so full of dirt/dust in the latch when I finally got it opened up it looked as though it had been this way for a...- rpenner54

Rear door latches?
Oh yeah its way open. Just got one of the front handles working right again. These rear ones are a pain. I will re read the thread you posted. Inside the latch seems to have a mini spring in there that does t seem to be on the other side.- rpenner54

Rear door latches?
Anyone have any luck finding these? Junkyard only parts? I got one on the drivers side rear passenger door that just cannot be jiggled the right way to get it to work. I have lubed it up real good but it's still being stubborn. I have got it open twice now but now it's stuck again. There...- rpenner54

2013 Focus ST
Has someone already figured out tunes for these cars? I read a while ago that they couldn't be hacked into yet. The Ecoboost is a fun little motor. We have a 2013 Fusion with the 1.6 Ecoboost and see around 26 mpg in the city here in Wichita. In Colorado that was around 19-21 mpg due to the...- rpenner54

I have seen some cool stuff with these guys logo on it. http://www.softopper.com/ford-ranger-soft-top-truck-cap-details.aspx Check out the ranger rear screen panel. I would imagine something like that with the right measurements could get you where you want. :)- rpenner54

Rough Idle Questions
Think I got it. But its snowing now so I am inside getting warmed up. There is a rubber 'gasket' that goes in around the egr tube that was somewhat stretched out and icked up. That and I forgot to plug the tube from the air-intake to where you fill the oil up. All things I just passed over...- rpenner54

Yup, did both the upper and lower intake gaskets. I will re-check the torque settings on them though. I went off the article on here that was saying it was all in-lbs and not ft-lbs. Looks like I am going to have the search for the leak. I have pulled and checked all the lines to the top of the motor so far and saw no cracks. Oh yeah, checked the wiring order all was good. Will check the plugs again this weekend. Not enough daylight left. Just went out and checked the brake booster. Where did you get a good wiring diagram from? The Chilton's I have leave a bit to be desired. I thought I had something good online but I must have not bookmarked it. I might have to take you up on that. Let me get through this weekend and by next weekend there should be some "play" money in the the "play" account again. From what I have read there isn't a whole lot of differences on these upper intakes. Except for whatever badge might be on them.- rpenner54

The reason for the engine swap. 1. Because I want to. 2. 4.0 was running bad, would not idle and did not want to put money into it. 3. Whole combo of engine, tranny, and transfercase PLUS hoist cost me $400. 4. Power + Auto should be fun. 5. Paid $650 for the Explorer. (yup thats six hundred...- rpenner54

This is how you pull a truck out of the garage with no drive train under it. Needed to wash the dirt out of the engine bay once the motor was removed. Laying under the Ex to shift into 4x4. I was considering making my own but that one might really be the way to go. Especially since my harness I got with the motor was cut in some areas. I really am not sure which way to go yet. Hmm... Yeah that does make it a tougher. I am still dismantiling the truck for the swap. I might have to consider just moving someplace else depending on how much wire length I can get. Question for you. Is your ECU mount on the driver's side down under the brake booster? Was that the stock location for a Ranger? My '93 Explorer is in the passenger side kick panel. Yours looks so much easier for wiring up.- rpenner54
