4-Link, 3-Link, Radius Arms???
Already have the axles. :) I have a HD D44 out of a 79 F250. It's setup for leafs and I don't want to run leafs up front. If I could get the stock stuff for cheap I would do it. However the wonderfull junkyards around here are a bit expensive. :)- rpenner54

4-Link, 3-Link, Radius Arms???
Yeah I have thought about that... :) I just figure mine *might* be a bit differn't but we will see how much so... :) The only *problem* with it is that no matter what I still have to buy all the parts and pieces. I am starting completely from scratch on this project. That is why I want to...- rpenner54

97 Rear brakes sticking. ABS??? Proportioning valve??? What is it???
Well doh! I think we got the problem figured out! It was the darn parking brake dragging. That and some mistakes made by me when installing the pads. Its all much better now. So far anyway! :)- rpenner54

How do I remove the coil?
Remove the shock and the anti-sway bar and just start standing on that axle. It will swing down. Then get your 1-1/8" socket or wrench and start twisting away on that nut... :)- rpenner54

97 Rear brakes sticking. ABS??? Proportioning valve??? What is it???
Okay I am taking the Explorer over to a buddies monday morning and we are going to check out the whole rear end to make sure that my dragging drivers side rear brake is really the brake dragging. Make sense??? Well I have replaced the caliper, rotor, pads and it still is dragging. In my...- rpenner54

How to: Clutch Switch Bypass
Man I did this years ago... Except I never "re-wired" it I just moved the switch and the saftey down on the clutch pedel. The only issue I had was the truck wasn't geared low enough to start up in gear... :) Those with an atlas probably won't have that problem. Make sure your battery...- rpenner54

rear disc brakes suck
Get yourself some heat, WD40 and a rubber mallet. Just heat it up and bang on it. WD40 and Bang on it. After a few hours of this it should let go.- rpenner54

Found my problem
Okay I have a new pad, new shoes on the drivers side rear and its still dragging. Anyone know of any ideas? Would I need to replace the caliper? Or is the caliper on there not releasing the correct way? I greased it up so it should slide back but for some reason its not. I don't want to eat...- rpenner54

Found my problem
My 97 has been having this terrible grinding racket whenever going from a stop and turning. I was going to go down to Heath's place to try out a new driveshaft, but between bad weather and a funeral last week I haven't made it down there. Anyways I have checked the brakes a number of times and...- rpenner54

Cracked head gasket @ 24K!
At least we don't ever have to pay for any of the problems with it up to 100k miles. :D That warrenty was well worth its weight in gold. Anyone who thinks its cheaper or easier to fix a car is a fool. Specially when you can warrenty it. :)- rpenner54

Herculining suspension parts
Honestly, I would go with a good quality spray paint. Something that is a semi-gloss would look good. I just think for your truck it would "ruin" the look of it over time to do the herculiner thing. There is this other stuff called Dura Black or Back or something like that, that can...- rpenner54

Herculining suspension parts
Oh it will stick. It just will turn a nice dull grey in a few months. Or at least thats what mine has done. There are a few spots on mine where I have surface rust coming through from the other side and that makes it not stick... :(- rpenner54

Herculining suspension parts
Herculiner looks like crap after about 1 year. IMHO. Unless you paint over it. If you use Herculiner PREP is the key word. I mean PREP! This stuff sticks GOOD but if there is something under it, it doesn't like it will peel off. I can honestly say I don't think I would use it again if...- rpenner54

Opinions on the 03 Expedition?
Oh yeah anyone that says the 5.4 is that much better then the 4.6 has never driven both. I test drove both a number of times. Opinions on the 03 Expedition?
Maranda and I have a 2001 Base Model Expy. We LOVE it. It has room for 9 people if we want. It doesn't have rear heat or air but it works okay for the kids. We also got the 4.6L but its been great for the MPG! We got a older one because we wanted somewhat used plus the newer ones just do...- rpenner54
