    3rd gen horn

Ok, so just to clarify this is a practical joke Im playing on my friend, so I dont have access to the truck to look at it to figure this out. So any help would be great.

    3rd gen horn

ok now that I think about it, if I want to hook up another wire to activate the horn I'd want to get to the switched wire before the relay, not the wire going from the relay to the horn, right? So does anyone know where the horn relay is, and which wire is which on it?

    brighter headlights

Right now I have the silverstars with the upgraded wireing harness, getting power directly from the battery. What is the wattage of the silverstars? And now that I have more power going to the headlights can I get a higher wattage bulb?

    Front end "clunking" noise

Well I just installed new shocks all around, so thats not it either. Wheel bearings, huh? I'll try to look into that.

    Front end "clunking" noise

I just replaced my sway bar and end link bushings with Energy Poly bushings and the noise is better, but not all gone. Any other ideas?

    Front end "clunking" noise

The noise happens in 2wd, but I dont think that that's the problem. I know the sound you're talking about and this happens even when the wheels are straight. It really sounds like some sort of poorly lubricated joint, but I can seem to figure out what it is.

    Front end "clunking" noise

Ok, Ford said that my lower ball joints and outer tie rods were shot, so I had them replaced. So now I'm $750 poorer and the noise is still there. The ride is better, but the noise is there.

    Front end "clunking" noise

ok, check ball joints and u-joint. I'll do that tomorrow and report back. Thanks.

    Front end "clunking" noise

I've tried searching, but most of the results I've found have been for 1st gen explorers. The problem I'm having is at low speeds, as in less than 10 mph I have this sort of whining clunking comming from the front end. It makes no difference if I'm breaking or not, it makes the noise. It's been...

    32" Spare fits

Mine fits with my Ford hitch and Gibson 2.5" exhaust. I guess the hidden style hitch take up more room in there. Oh well, just wanted to let people know to try it and see if it will work for them.

    Alignments at Sears.

The Sears by me sucks. They have great products, I love Craftsman tools, warenty is unbeatable. But the work that they do is shotty and they are a**holes, too.

    32" Spare fits

I was under the impression that a 32" spare wouldn't fit in the stock location. Well I decided to try it out, and guess what: It fit! Sweet. It's not bald at all either. It has about 85% tread left. Just thought I'd give a heads up to anyone who wanted to put their full size spare under there.

BIG change in plan's..new tires this week!

This thread is just laughable. You're 14... wow that explains a whole lot. First of all until I knew how old you were I couldn't for the life of me figure out why you spell so poorly. I mean I'm not too good with spelling myself, and we all make typos, but god, look over what you've written just...

    b rated torsion bars

well its not just for the extra lift, its because my new skid plate weighs so much that I'm pretty sure that the front is really going to sag under that load with my current softer bars. But I'd like longer bolts, too.

    Torsion Twist-Suspension Limitations

I thought Rancho made 2" lifted shocks for the 2nd gens too, no?

    b rated torsion bars

I want to order some new "b" rated torsion bars for my truck. They are just under $50 each at ford parts network. I think that the stiffer bars will allow me to acheive the full 2" from a tt, rather than the 1.5"-1.75" I get now. Anyone who has done this I'd apreciate some feedback. Thanks.
