This truck has the new harness but i should probably check that its still working. I tried the diagnostic procedure but nothing lights up at all, suggesting the switches on the wheel are bad according to that #4 post. Like i said i tried another switch in there but made no difference...

I'm trying to diagnose my cruise control. It's never worked since I bought the truck. No dash lights come on. Changed out the wheel switches. Still nothing. To perform the diagnostic steps, you have to engage the e brake. I'm afraid it will stick as its fairly rusted. Is there a way around this?

Im in Canada. I couldnt find any Mercon V specific oils in gallon bottles. I guess ill keep looking. Guess you cant trust label claims, especially when they contradict what Ford says. Sorry bout the pic size i dont know how to resize.

5r55e calls for Mercon V. Back of bottle says it can be used for Mercon V, SP, and LV. I thought they were all incompatible with each other? Is this stuff safe to use?

I'm thinking of tearing into my transmission and rebuilding the valve body with Transgo correction kit, new EPC, and gaskets, then I check Ebay and... What's the catch here? Take this one for example...

Im thinking of attacking this soon. I read a few pages into the diary, but its almost 10 years old at this point. Have there been revisions or updated parts since then? Im looking to replace the epc solenoid and bracket, gaskets, and possibly some upgrades.

I unplugged the DRL module because it was corroded and has failed. Is there a way to jump pins so that the DRL remain on when the vehicle is running?

It doesn't. but it does know when the driver door is open, so i can use that to shut off the radio.

I only got PCM DTC P1000. I have OBDLink and FORScan Lite now. Any recommendations how i could go about diagnosing the transmission ? Any particular sensors i should look at ? And is there a way to monitor which gear youre in with FORScan ?

I guess because accessory is before lock on the ignition instead of betwern lock and on, so you lose the radio when shutting off the engine. Is 98 supposed to keep the accesssory on until the door opens or was the aftermarket radio installed wrong ?

Any way to do this ? Sometimes i want to kill the engine but keep listening to the radio, without losing audio between switching to accessory.
