    03 explorer ac control module

I tested it at about 25.5 k ohms and it dropped into the teens when I applied warm air. It returned back to mid twenties after I stopped. It definitely reacts to heat but I'm not sure if 25 k ohms is within normal parameters.

    03 explorer ac control module

I found this behind that small vent. The little resistor faces toward the driver and the round end fits in a white plastic tube that runs into the dash, presumably to the eatc. I'm gonna try to test it but I'm not sure what the parameters should be. Is also pretty dirty so I'm thinking of...

    03 explorer ac control module

Anything is totally possible. I bought the truck like this 2 years ago from some guys from Mexico, no telling what they're capable of after seeing the hack job they had under the hood. Those guys are known for doing half ass **** like that. I've already untangled most of the mess they created...

    03 explorer ac control module

I ran the EATC self tests by holding down the Off and defrost down then hitting the auto button. It started to display 2166, 2167,1255, and 1251 then repeated itself. Once I did this I selected the defrost which cleared those codes and got the display to reflect accurate ext temperature. . Now...

    03 explorer ac control module

Thanks for the reply. With the jumper disconnected the compressor will not engage. I drive it till the air at the vents have little to no airflow then unplug the jumper so the evaporator can defrost. As stated I replaced the control unit on the dash. I read that some vehicles use ambient...

    03 explorer ac control module

My 04 Eddie Bauer has a jumper wire that bypasses normal ac operation by tapping into the relay in the relay box under the hood to hot wire the compressor. My climate control panel on the dash was displaying ext temp of 107° all the time so I replaced it with another one and now seems to be...

    Programmer 2004 4.6

Gas milage suffers if you don't change the tires. I ran the stock tires for a few months with the 4.10's before I put the new tires and rims. I was getting 13.3 before. I drove 800 miles at 80mph yesterday turning around 2200 rpm's and I'm getting about 17.4 mpg. It's closer to 19mpg if I run at 70.

    Programmer 2004 4.6

They make a huge difference. These tires are quite large compared to original but it performs better than stock with the gearing. I have a tru trac locker in the back as well.

    Programmer 2004 4.6

I was researching programmers for my 04 with a 4.6. I found several forums but most are over 10 years old and most of the links are no longer working. I'm leaning toward the SCT X4 but I was hoping someone here might have some current info on who to use etc. The vehicle is lifted running...

04 Explorer EB reading lamp issue

After researching I think I should mention that my garage opener and both vanity sun visor lights are also not working. Tomorrow I will be removing the under dash fuse box to test the #5 battery saver relay.

04 Explorer EB reading lamp issue

I have a couple questions concerning the reading laps in my 04 expo. I have 3 dome lights (front, center, and rear). All 3 light up when the door opens or when I rotate the dimmer all the way up. The front light has a left and right that both light up but neither work when I click on the reading...

AC no power at the compressor

I bought my 04 explorer Eddie Bauer 4.6 2 years ago. The previous owner rigged the ac with a hot wire running from the ac relay to the high pressure switch. Ac blew cold until it would ice up to the point no air would flow from the vents. The ac was constantly running unless I disconnected the...

    Thanks for the info.

    2004 explorer differential type

Im trying to verify which differentials my 04 Eddie Bauer 4.6 4x4 uses so I can upgrade it. Axle code is 45 so I know it's an open diff 3.55. Im planning to go 4.10. After researching, I'm pretty sure the rear is the 8.8 but I'm not sure on the front. Ive seen Dana 30 and 35 both listed and I'm...

    Rear wheel vibration

I can try when I get the truck back if they don't figure it out

    Rear wheel vibration

Thanks, I was thinking it has to be in the diff. The old cv shaft was doing it and now the new one is doing the same thing.

    Rear wheel vibration

I dropped it to a shop to get their opinion so I don't have the truck right now but if they don't figure it out I can do that. I do appreciate all the comments and hope y'all understand why I'm leaning away from the strut or wheel issue. I believe it's a drive line problem but can't figure it...

    Rear wheel vibration

I appreciate all the good info y'all are throwing out. I've lifted to check the bearings before doing the cv shafts. I'm reluctant to say it's a strut issue because the problem persists at such a slow speed. I drove it approximately 30 miles from the time it left the 4x4 shop to the time I got...

    Rear wheel vibration

I can check that but I'm not sure that would be the issue. It ran perfectly smooth up until the morning I dropped it off at the 4x4 shop. By the afternoon it had developed this vibration. I don't believe they removed the cv shaft to install the leveling block but it's definitely worth taking a...

    Rear wheel vibration

Thanks for the suggestion. As mentioned, I did have the tires balanced and rotated after the leveling kit was installed. Usually, a problem of this nature is noticed at a moderate to higher speed from my experience. This wheel is noticeably bouncing somewhat violently even at the slowest of...

    Rear wheel vibration

Thanks for the suggestion number 4. It happened right after the level kit was installed. It drove perfectly smooth before so I wouldn't think the shock is the culprit. I replaced both rear cv shafts but the problem is still not fixed.

    Rear wheel vibration

Thanks for the input. My fault for not mentioning that I drove straight to the tire shop for balance and rotation after the alignment. Tires are under warranty and still fine.

    Rear wheel vibration

My 04 4x4 explorer Eddie Bauer ran smooth with no issues. I had a leveling kit/ lift put on (1.5 rear and 2.5 front). Now I'm feeling like there's a ball in the tire at low speed and a severe vibration at highway speed. It was aligned and drives straight. I had the tires balanced and rotated...
