I really don't think it would work, unless on an older vehicle, since most if not all newer vehicles have clear coats. This stuff can't penetrate the clear coat, so if it does put down any color it's got to be sitting on top.

What would the dimensions of the shim need to be? Also could it just be a piece of flat stock?

Did you buy the vehicle there? If you did ask to speak to the owner. If I remember right his name is Garcia. I had a problem there before and I remember him saying when I bought my Explorer, " If you ever have a problem, come see me". I did and he took care of it.

I did my wires and it should take no more than 20 min. if you use a precut set. Also I don't think the wrong wires will cause permanent damage but will definately effect how it performs.

Try "NO TOUCH" AUTO GLASS STRIPPER. You can get it at ACE Hardware and some automotive stores. It's for the exterior only and it takes a little elbow grease but it works very well.

The poster mentioned that if you don't turn on the headlights, the capacitors retain some charge and you don't get the full benny of a reset from scratch.

FYI I was reading on the F150 site, when resetting your computer, after disconnecting the Neg cable you should turn on the headlights for 5 min. to discharge capacitors. Sounds logical to me. What do you guys think?

My hitch lined up with the bumper mounting bolt perfectly as they should if you ordered your hitch for that vehicle. I'm pretty sure they were 18mm. Soak 'em good and use a long breaker bar. I had to remove the spare if memory serves me. Good Luck.

Definetly check all the heat shields and little skid plates on the exhaust system. The bands that hold them on rust on top where you can't see it. This drove me nuts for a while. Once I found the culprit I just removed it.

Hey Rick, A fellow Rhode Islander here. Question. Why do you think the exhaust would effect the emissions test ? I just put on a Borla acouple of months ago and my inspection is due this month.
