The side curtain airbags WERE an option on Gen 1. My 04 had them, & they probably saved my life. (When I was hit on the side by someone that blew a red light, they deployed). My 05 does not have them.

Mine has exactly the same problem, except no butt shifting will make mine work. I'm waiting till warmer weather (this winter has been our 4th coldest on record) to work on it. I also would like to find something that would work with the factory switch.

Jerry, I have a driver's side mirror glass only that you can have for just the cost of shipping if you want to go that route. (I put signal mirrors on the green Trac I had that got totaled, & saved the original glass)

If it was mine, I'd take it back to the body shop & make them fix it properly.

I don't have the specs, other than it is supposed to be about 1 cubic foot internal volume. I can get you measurements if you want with a tape measure, but that will only be close. I remember reading on the ST site where someone had built one from scratch, but I couldn't find the thread it was in.

I have an 04 Trac. I may be purchasing a used bed cap or topper as they are sometimes called. I will have to drive about 50 miles to pick it up. The seller says he has misplaced the bag of hardware that has the clamps that hold the cap to the bed. How can I fasten it to the bed securely...
