Well I have been regretting scrapping the hulk ever since! And am currently in the works of getting another rig. Actually has some of my parts from the hulk on it. When I pick it up I’ll post up pics.

Since I didn’t have a rig I didn’t plan work around it this year! So for now I’m a maybe/hopefully. Hope I find out soon enough to get a spot

ok guys. I am in completely new territory that I never thought I would be in. I bought a 2wd. 94 xlt. I am calling out all the 2wd guys and asking for some fun ideas cause I have always been the 4wd rock crawling guy.

Update is the hulk got scrapped. I have a 93 sport I'm gonna play with a bit now but not sure how serious it'll get as of yet

Ok new twist. Decided since I already missed moab this year I'm gonna shoot for next year. Hopefully I'll have a 14bolt in the rear and a dana 60 up front. And possibly another body mod im thinking about. More to come.

With a saddened heart i have to announce my inability to make it to Moab this year. I have had several things over the last few months that have rendered it pretty much impossible for me to make it. Please everyone have fun, be safe, and celebrate the hell out of this 20 year anniversary...

OK. I got a few parts ordered while I was out of town. Nothing drastic but I hope to have the Rear axle all but complete by the weekend. then I have to bust ass to try and get the front done in time for moab and still gotta find a trailer to tow it down.

Ok not alot but some progress. First i put the axle on a couple of jackstands. Then removed the wheels. Since i will be replacing the calipers and likely running completely new brake lines i disconnected the brake lines at the calipers. Then removed the 2 bolts holding each caliper...

Not much......

So with Christmas here funds are tight for sas parts....but in the meantime I got bored and this is what I have decided to do with the front doors....after cleaning it up and everything I'll put a piece of flat metal covering the top of this. Still maintained factory interior handle and latch...

Mostly yesterday but this is what I did.

Here are some better shots of the ebrake connections....pretty simple really but in case anyone needs to know. Here is a close up of the to spots that the cable connects to. Here is the cable with the connections to give a better idea. Second photo shows where they actually connect...

I wanted to start with the rear because it should be a little easier considering there is less to do. So I started with putting it on Jack stands, needed a little extra height so I cut some boards to put under the stands. Next I removed the driveshaft, forgot to snap a pic of this but...

It will be a slow process through the winter but should be done by spring.

Here is the official first before pics.....this is where it will sit until it's done....I will get better pics in the daylight in a few days but thought this would be a good teaser/starter post.......

Ok....it's in the garage.....will be starting the tear down next weekend.

I understand that my concern is that the explorer isn't exactly light and I don't want to crack something.....it all works I'm just hoping for different options as I said most people haven't gone into very much detail or taken pictures of how they did this
