Who has these? Are they any good? Price is awesome, but do you get what you pay for?

I emailed them this.

Subject=??2004 ford explorer struts??

When I try to order the complete strut for 2004 ford explorer xlt 4x4. Part #: CST100115 it says out of stock?
Next ? I have a 4x4 so would these work? It isnt a "sport trac" model.

Thanks Jake

Hello Jake,
Unfortunately, at this time, we are out of stock of the CST100115. We do have some on the way, but will be 30-60 days when we get them. The CST100115 will work for 4WD, as long as it isn’t the “Sport XLT 4WD”.

My big ? . When they mean "sport xlt 4wd" Are these people talking about the "sport trac" explores? I would hate to order these and find out THE HARD way.

I heard a guy here saying people have installed these with good results. But i didnt search that hard.

Thanks
JAKE

Jake, Here is the thread, the info on the Prime Choice Struts starts at post #27
http://www.explorerforum.com/forums//showthread.php?t=273688

Some other threads:

http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=212283&highlight=remove+strut

http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=212283

Part #: CST100115 is the correct part for the front, Part #: CST100122 is the correct part for the rear. The "sport" they are talking about is the 2 door Ex, not the sport trac.

I plan on getting these for my Ex. I think there are 3 guys that have installed these. I can't find the other threads.

Hope this helps out.

thanks for the reply. I know I seen somewhere here about them.

I forgot about the 2 door sport. thanks.

They look good. I would like to hear from some people that have them.

installed the rears on my wifes 03 last month and was very impressed with the quality (they are heavy!) shipped to my door for 165 and installed by my mechanic for $45 for a total of $210!! can't beat that. they will defenitly hold up for the remainder of the vehicles life.

The lady said just watch the site for them to come in.

thanks for the input.

I installed these on the front of my '02 Limited 4.6 . Not a big deal to install. Removed 13MM nuts going thru engine compartment, using an impact. Nuts jam up as they are coming off due to self locking. Had to twist lower end about 5 degrees to get it to align with holes. Ride seems fine so far.

Like I said, I love the StrutTEk's! :eek::thumbsup:

Check your PM.

Strutteks on all 4 corners

I just installed Strutteks on all four corners, 2003 4x4, and took a 800 mile trip to Ohio and back and they are as good as anything I've ever had. Nice ride and great control. The price is right too! I also did F & R sway bar links and rear toe compenstor control rods etc. :thumbsup:
