ok guys i have installed two add a leaf kits and truck still has a lil sag in the rear.my truck is a loud spl truck built for dailly ground pounding.i have two big heavy 18s in a custom built wall.i also have 5 xs power 3100 batterys in the rear and a stetsom 14k amp.so any ideas on how to fix the sag would be greatly appreciated.the add a leafs said they would hold 1500 pounds.and im pretty sure i only have a 1000 pounds extra in the truck give or take.

You could do a lift shackle, or lower the front some, or get newer springs, you could also run airshocks. This all depends on the look you want, $$$ and time you would like to invest. I would have thought the add a leaf would have worked, but it may have just brought it back to stock sag.

i thought it would of to but must be to much weight or something.

Shackles will give you the same ride, springs or air shockes/air bags will stiffen the ride.

yeah i got a set of shackles going to go fire up heater and put them on see what happens.

Many have eliminated rear sag using the Monroe 58617 Load Adjusting shocks and gained at least 1.25" lift.
Not sure of combining them with your recently added AAL though, may be too stiff. Search 58617. Good luck.

Do

Air bags I reckon.

I gained 2-1/2 inches with spring helpers. i have two twelves in a large box, heavy tool bag, and amp. you can check it out on my post, "Juggernaut 97 EX5.0"
In this forum.

You can tell that the main leaf is hurtin'. I'd probably try airshocks just because its cold and they are cheap and fast to install. Or the monroe's.

monroe load adjusts

This. The helper springs will probably be able to level that out no problem.

Another option is to go to a JY and get newer leaf packs and swap them in. Those leaf packs are deff flattening out.

I thought the add a leaf kit from oreillys was same as helper spring.

Might go to spring shop and have new heavy duty springs made.

I run a set of rearched Gen II explorer springs with an add a leaf and warrior shackles and talk about a huge difference. The ride is stiffer but I carry about 600 pounds of stuff in the rear at all points in time. Also if you can find one get an explorer express rear sway bar and the rear of your X will be higher and firm in the corners
