I am replacing the automatic transmission seal (Where the driveshaft meets the transfer case). What I can’t figure out- nor my local auto shop is this small, additional seal that sits behind the bolt. (See photo) Any help on figuring out a part number would be excellent!

Just noticed as I am starting to pull the busted TC out that it's not exactly the same. Are the 08 & 11 just gearing differences or is this a major difference? Everything looks the same from the outside & I already swapped the shift motor from each so it can't be that different, right?

Found some info here that a bw4406 from f150 97-03 can be used for a swap into the explorer/mountaineer. I found a 04 f150 (same body style as 97-03) with the same bw4406 manual transfer case. Can i use it? Or does it need to be 97-03? Thanks in advance.

This is the linkage you want for the manual shift BW 1354 conversion, make sure you get the transfer case shift lever with it.

This is linkage in my explorer from a 87 bronco2 with a A4LD and a BW1350.It is diffrent than the short lever linkage, and you NEED the MATCHING LEVER on the TRANSFER CASE.You will need to modify the bottom of the shift lever so that it will clear the front yoke.
