Hello all,
New member here.
Got an issue that none of my mechanics have been able to diagnose or figure out.
I've got a 2000 Ford Explorer XLS and whenever I accelerate while driving, there is an intermittent loss of engine power (not electrical) which occurs off-and-on in rapid succession which results in a lurching or jerking feeling.
I speculate that it is an engine misfire, although such symptoms aren't present when idle, only when driving. Furthermore, no evidence of a misfire shows when hooked up to a computer.
My mechanic has already ruled out spark plugs/wires, coil pack, and fuel injectors, so I'm not sure what it could be.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
