01 Sport won't start

2001 explorer sport with the SOHC 4.0 has some starting issues. It's worse when it's cold and it will start sometimes. Usually when I turn the key I get nothing. Lights go dark like they should, but no clicks. Nothing at all.

I've replaced the starter and the battery.... any ideas?

No Crank. THanks for that link. I found the no start one but it didn't really apply. I'll run through some of those checks.

Pay special attention to 2000StreetRod's tip
number 4.

The battery cable ground connection at the
starter tends to corrode, and prevent cranking.
For some reason, this is common on lots of
Fords. The cure is to remove the bolt and clean
the connection area with a wire brush, then
reconnect and tighten.
