I'm new @ this & am looking for free help so its taking time to filter through everything

what kind truck is it? what year? engine size?

if i get some free time tomorrow I can look it up on alldata for you. its free where i go to school.

its a 2001 eddie bower edt. w/ 4wd 6.0

they didnt have any 6.0 engine sizes for a 2001 explorer. they were all v6 4.0s. Do you have the SOHC version, The SFI version, or the normal 4.0.

What specfically do you need? Color code for vehicle side? Your ex should have a harness tucked up under the vehicle on left side between tail light and license plate. It should be wired to there, all you should need is to connect to whichever type mating connector you'll use (4 wire flat or 5 wire round)

Yes, the third pin is for the parking lights. You must turn the truck's running lights on before that pin will show any power.
