02 explorer clicking noise

I have an 02 explorer that I replaced the blend door on about a week ago. My wife gets in yesterday and turns the key on and it's making a clicking noise in the dash even while the engine is running. Any thoughts at what this could be?

Sounds like the temperature blend actuator. There is a plastic gear that when the teeth break it makes a clicking noise. Here's a YouTube for the fix.

That's not it. It does it with the heat off and I have heat and I just fixed that last week. It's a constant clicking as soon as u turn the key on. The car cranks and runs it even makes the noise with the car running.

Have you been able to narrow down what part of the dash it's coming from?

I know you replaced the blend door but next time you hear it, change the temp and see if it stops. Always possible to have a bad part.
