02 Explorer Max Tire Size WITH mods

How big of a tire can I fit on my 02 Ford Explorer. I couldn't find anything that said what size with mods.

17in rims.
V8 (If that makes a diffefence)

I found a good deal on some 285/70/17
32.71/11.22
Will those fit with trimming

I'm willing to trim whatever out

Are the 32 by 10.xx is that with trimming?

No lift - 32x10.50 or equivelent in Metric Measurements on Stock Wheels (265/75/R16 or 265/70/R17) - no modification needed!


I can't find anywhere what people fit with trimming. I have a completely stock 02 Explorer.

I'm wondering if I can fit 285/70/17 with obvious trimming. But will it fit even with trimming?
