Long story short, I have an 04 cobra m112 with 28K on it just chillin'

The other day i brought it into work, and did some CMM (coordinate measuring machine) work on it. Probed it all up and got all the bolt patterns and the mounting planes that I need to reverse engineer an adapter, I will do the same with a 4.0L intake to obtain the port pattern, and bolt pattern, surface it up, program it, and cut it (CNC).

I can make the adapter no problem, but before I go invest a poop ton of time and effort, has anyone accomplished this? I've seen 4.0L Lightning m112 set ups, but no cobra set-ups, is it just too long?

Any feedback is appreciated.

Here is some brain food for you.

Get in touch with Ron Caster. His page and contact info are here: http://www.bansheesupercharger.com/

Although he advertises an M-90 kit, I know for a fact he has made at least several M112 kits also. He could probably advise you as to the fitment of the Cobra M112.

Im doing the same thing with a M90, Im building a sort of box to adapt the supercharger to my intake with a opening on top for the charger then bolt to the intake on the bottom. The only thing im thinking is the M112 going to flow to much for the 4.0? My plans are to run a "safe" boost level with the M90 at 5-8lbs on a 4.6 (I could just give you mine and I will take yours :))...... I wish I had your equipment though it looks like you have the correct tools to do it, Im relying on good ole' trial and error on mine. but anything can be done just keep at it, so many people say stuff cant be done because they have never seen someone do it.

A m90 is almost pegged on a 4.6L... an m112 is big for a 4.0L, I may not be running an intercooler, so the increased efficiency at the equivalent boost level from the m112 will provide a lower IAT...

(4.6L * 6000rpm * 85VE * ((6lbs + 14.7)/(14.7)))/ 5660 = 583CFM * .02832 = 16.5 Cubic Meters / min * 60 =

992 Cubic Meters / hr. @ 1.408 pressure ratio.

(4.6L * 6000rpm * 85VE ((9lbs + 14.7)/14.7)))/5660 = 668CFM * .02832 = 18.9 Cubic Meters/min * 60 =

1135 cubic meters/hr. @ 1.612 pressure ratio.

(those numbers in the map are the HP requirements to run the supercharger)
