'03 limited wheels on a '97 mounty?

Can anyone tell me if 17" wheels of an '03 explorer limited will fit my '97 mountaineer AWD? I know the bolt patterns are the same, but what about the wheel offsets? Are they the same too? I've been getting conflicting information. Some say they'll fit, others say they won't. Looking for some expert info here. Any help would be appreciated.

they should work, the BS of your stock rims is 4" your best bet would be to measure the back spacing of the rim you want to make sure itll work.

Limited Wheels

Hi Kimbokyo,

I got my new wheels so my limited factory chromes are available now. Even if you are not stll interested in mine I will measure the backspace for you if someone tells me where to measure from.

the 16inchers with stock tires from and '02(same as '03) rub the front sway bar at full lock.

Mine are 17" wonder if that is better or worse...
