Does the 03 Mountaineer AWD have an AWD lock? Did a little bit of off roading today and being able to set my t-case to a 50/50 split would've been friggin awesome. afaik there is an AWD Lock lamp on the instrument cluster. If there is a Lock how do you engage it? Thanks

The AWD explorers have no lock in the transfer case. The only possibility I envision would be to switch out your transfer case with a locking one. Even then, the only locking transfer case from ford is electronic. This means that if you switched out your transfer case for a locking one then you would have to do a bit of electrical work (i.e. wire 4x4 switch to dash, etc.)

I'm currently slowly learning about all the electronics of the 4x4 myself.

which light, I have AWD no Lock that i know of. I would be nice if you could lock it. Or even a AWD Low, like the jeeps have. . . does their's lock in low? I have the selec-trac which has the option.

i thought i saw somewhere on here that there was an AWD lock lamp in the instrument cluster.

Jeep doesnt have AWD low. Quadra-Drive is essentially AWD with 4Hi and 4Lo. I know the Durangos (05+) have AWD Lock, 4Hi, 4Lo.
