Really nice Sport you got. Was the steering extension a pain to install?

It's really easy. Hardest part is getting the wrench in there to tighten it down. It took My 3 5 and 12" extensions lol.

The steering extension was a breeze, Unhook the negative battery cable, pull the two fuses, yours might be different, but mine was 2, and then have someone hold the steering wheel, slide the telescoping shaft down inser the male part onto the female part of the extension then its a tight fit to get it wedged into the female part of the telescoping original shaft. MAKE SURE to drop the bolts in with the nut on the bottom because if that bolt comes undone your not running the risk of the shaft falling from space and your steering going bye bye at 65 mph on the freeway, also be sure to put thread locker on it, It's cheaper to put alot of thread locker for the piece of mind that your not going to wreak and cause hundered of dollars, then maby 10 if u get alot of thread locker for the whole body lift.

If you have any questions i mean any about the body lift, i will most likely have a answer for you, i completed the lift in under a days time of work.

By the way Karpiel73 Your 72 gmc is beautiful

Oh man that thing looks good!

I'm liking the look too! Do you have a hitch on your Sport?

Hey thanks for the compliment too, I love that truck :D

Yeah very nice, enjoy the lift and 33's!!

Thanks guys, no i do not have a hitch yet but i will be getting one or making a custom bumper with a receiver built in, Not sure yet but i really like it.

I think you might be mistaking my lazyness of not cutting the exses of the bumper bracket off

No I actually didn't notice the brackets. I was wondering how you went about fixing the gap between the hitch and bumper that happens after a BL. But you don't have one.

Oh the ranger kit comes with brackets and then i put them on my 12 ton press and got them flat, and they worked.

Ill post some close ups soon

Close ups have arrived.

Sweet ride! I am in the middle of my 3" BL right now and should have it done tomorrow (finishing touches ont he body mount bolts and then off to the bumper's). To get this straight, no TT/Shackles yet?

There is a slight TT i don't remember how many times i twisted them but there not all the way in i waited until the day before i went into get a alignment to twist them so i didn't have to worry about it pulling a lot or anything, but there is still not shackles nor a add-a-leaf yet, Mainly because desert rat seems like they don't wanna sell me anything, so i haven't got shackles, my 33 inch mickey thompson's don't rub anywhere besides the front lower part of my bumper trim, other then that they don't rub anywhere but i haven't taken it off road because im waiting for my shackles.

Also be sure to re install the fuses you took out because if you don't your alternator wont charge, I know this from having to pay for a new alternator and battery because i was to lazy to put them back in...

I will most definitely do so! lol

The only 2 things left for me are the Front & Rear Bumpers. i do not have any tools that will cut the metal (besides a sawzall) so i need to bug my neighbor in hopes he will be lend me his grinder for an hour or 2. I cleaned up the interior and motor-bay and started her up to make sure all went well, which it did! I have an AAL but it still seems to sag pretty bad..and the front TT might not be the full 2 inches, more like 1-1 1/4 so i may adjust those. Before the BL i would rub making full u-turns both ways with my 33's but only once the wheel would come to a lock, so i hope the BL will prevent that now :) (time to find out in the field)
