04 Explorer 4.6l V8 NO POWER UGH

Hey yall my wife car is down hard..

Ok so, I replaced all 8 spark plugs. #2 and #4 ignition coil pack .

She still has a rough idle, and also around 50-60 mph her car hesitates. ( we just push the acceleration an it does away)

hesitates as in car shakes an doesn't like to be within those speed parameters.


ok so 2 weeks later,

She begins to here a rattle on acceleration only. an now she has low off power. barely can get to 30 mph.

No check engine light on.

But the Service engine soon light is on.

Go to a local auto parts store and have them read the codes from that SES light you have. Without those you are chasing ghosts. Post what they are and we can help.
 






Check to see if your plugs are wet. If there is water there, then you have a leak from where the wipers are.
 






If you have dark fluid in the spark plug wells it is likely a leak from the thermostat housing. If it is not from the part of the housing where the cover and o-ring are, you must replace the entire intake manifold to fix the leak.
 






Yeah pull the codes. How many miles do you have on it, and does it smell like rotten eggs when the engine is running (if so it's the cat converter).
 






Hey sorry yall been really busy.

Ok so for the check engine codes. Their was no codes at autozone detected.

I took it to a mechanic shop they did a diagnostic test. an narrowed it down to the . Throttle body motor..

They try to sell me a whole throttle body assembly 700 bucks.. hell nah.

I purchased a Dorman, throttle body motor. replaced it re assembled . turned the engine on an I immediately have a Wrench light an the engine went into engine fail safe mode.. what is this?

I am most certain i put the cap an spring on correctly but I will be checking it in the morning..


At the mechanic shop, fuel filter was replaced photos soon an my fuel pressure was running below 30 psi that was corrected with a new fuel filter.

The vehicle does not smell like rotten eggs.

Their is no visible sign of leaking ontop of the plugs.

also on the throttle butterfly valve. when installed. will it be slightly open just slightly ? or will it be completely closed?
Currently installed it is slightly open barely thou. an the valve does move freely by the touch.

could it be a double trouble possibility motor goes bad than the TPS goes bad as well ?
