04 explorer tranny

Symptoms:
Couple weeks ago had trouble shifting from 1st to 2nd. Didn't think anything about it, only lasted 5-10 min. Recently I was driving on the highway in cruise control. Car went to downshift on a hill then never went back into overdrive. Started driving terrible after that.

from 1st to 2nd revs up high, loss of power, then shifts hard into 3rd, or I have to let off the gas.
When it is in second it will go up to 3-4g and it will be accelerating but at a couple of MPH, nothing significant.

overdrive is gone

The rest of the gears seem fine.

Code is reading P0775

Have since noticed a whining noise from under my feet.

Tranny has been serviced by Ford within the last 25k miles.

List of possible problems:
torque converter, pressure control solenoid, servo bores.

Need to find out which one so I dont keep chasing my tail!
Any other info needed, just ask!

I'd go to transmission shop to get diagnosis. Solenoid cheapest and easiest. If it is servo bore, would recommend servo bore fix http://www.fordservoboretransmissionfixsolution.com/ . Saved hundreds of dollars and still going after 20k miles.

I have currently changed:
solenoid
servo bore
turbine speed sensor

Still revving between 1-2 and O/D light is still on.

Can anybody think of anything else?
Output Shaft Speed Sensor?
Also have two other codes now:
P0715-turbine speed sensor
p2106-TAC System Forced Limited Power

When you mentioned servo bore, did you do the modified servo bore fix as stated by JethroBodine or did you replaced servos with replacements? Also did you adjust the bands?

I installed the modified servo bores. Also did the proper band adjustment. Band tension went up to 120 in/lbs backed off two turns.

Have you checked the valve body and inspected the separator plate and bonded gasket? Do not flip the valve body upside down once you remove the separator plate or the check balls will fall out. Also was the solenoid pack new or rebuilt? From what I have read when I did mines, rebuilts can be dicey. Also was the filter screen on the old solenoid pack clean or dirty with metal? I assume that you have checked the trans fluid level and it is correct. Double check that all electrical connectors are plugged back in. Lastly, reset the computer.

The old solenoid was screen was clean and free of metal. The bottom of the pan was bad. Even with a having it serviced less than 25k ago. The solenoid is a rebuilt... The trans fluid level was perfect. Thanks for the links.
I am taking it in to a trans shop for them to test drive. See what they say. I keep the post updated.

Update on the tranny.
I took it in to a shop for a "Free" diagnosis. Well they didn't tell me anything besides it has to be taken apart to find out what is wrong. That is not free.
I have been experiencing a whining sound around the torque converter. I drained the fluid started the car, with no trans fluid, and no more whining. I find that very odd.
I am going to replace the valve body today.
If still not working I guess the next step would be the torque converter.
If anybody has suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like the transmission is going to have damage to the internal components, most likely in the overdrive section and maybe the pump.

I wouldn't do anything short of removing it and completely tearing it down and rebuilding it. Its not going to be a valve body problem.
