you don't have to cut the teeth if you don't want. Just get a 99 cent paper throttle body gasket for a 2000 crown victoria 4.6 and replace the toothed gasket with that. It works.

Either way you're getting rid of the teeth which will help your throttle response.
 






Alright i did it with a dremel tool, and cleaned the throttle body with the dremel steel brush (took out all the black carbon residue). I removed the teeth and smoothed it out the best I can. I took it for a test drive after reconnecting the battery and letting it run idle for 5 minutes.

Im not sure if I noticed any difference, but I do have a very very slight vibration in my pedals. Is that normal?
 






The lag is something that will be there. Ford had an update, it shortened it very little.
 






Any tips for getting rid of the whistling noise? It's driving me nuts. Did using a dremel to get rid of the teeth cause the same whistling?
