05 ford explorer XLT sensors

my 2005 ford explorer xlt (89,500KMS) scared the sh** out of me while driving on freeway:
ABS Light came on
Advancetrac disabled
4x4 light flickers intermittently 2-8 times every 3-5 minutes, no real flashing pattern)

i unplugged negative battery terminal for about 12 minutes to see if this would help but once i hit 80KPH the damn lights came back on!

which sensors control these damn lights?

The ABS takes readings from the each wheel. On the 2001 and below models, there are three ABS sensors (2 front 1 back). But I think in yours (being a 2002+ model) with the independant rear suspension, I think there are four (2 front, 2 back). ABS lights BTW are nothing to be scared of.
