05explorer 4.0l....idle air bypass control

hello,i have 05 explorer,4.0L sohc....need to replace the idle air bypass, can not find it,looked on several sites and diagrams but no luck....I having an issue with my back,so crawling all over engine is little hard,but I think it might be located facing the fire wall where the air filter hose runs.....:salute:

There is none! No wonder you can't find it! Idle air flows through the throttle body past the throttle plate with no by-pass means. The actual "setting" of the opening of the plate is done by an electric motor driven by the computer (PCM).

This is called "drive by wire". That means your foot depressing the gas pedal no longer opens & closes the throttle plate. Instead, you are moving a variable resistor, which causes a varying electric current inputted to the PCM, telling it how much your foot is "into it". When your foot is "off of it", the engine idles, and PCM controls that, so that idle speed and quality remains constant even as loads on the engine change (A/C, lights, etc.). imp
