This is a 2006 explorer with the v6 and the 5r55s transmission. On flat ground in 2wd it will creep back but won't accept throttle input. If you lightly pulse as if it's a manual it will sometimes gain speed. It does go into 4 low. In 4 low reverse works. The car shudders about 60% of the time though rocking the wheel left and right will make the shuddering stop. It feels as if it comes from the front. Gear 1 in four low works normally though. In drive everything works perfectly hell it shifts smoother than my lincoln town car. I'm assuming the first place to look will be the transfer case/shift shaft? I haven't had time to jack it up and check fluids or anything yet. Is there anything else I should be looking? Could a bad alignment, axle or differential cause issues like this?
