it may not be easier to go to a junk yard, but it will save you a bunch of money i bet.

call the stealership and get a price on them. then call around (so you dont waste gas money driving) to all the local junk yards around you, even some that may be further away and see if you can find some. and i guarantee they will be much cheaper. and if you have to drive a bit to get them, the price difference will probably still be worth it.

good luck

I just checked at a couple of salvage yards and none of them have a newer Ex. they have older ones. I might just ebay it.

yea, ebay or craigslists are a couple of other options.

fryefyghter or something like that he has 06 tailights on his explorer i believe its an 03 or 04

It isnt looking good so i'm probably gonna have to get them from the stealership.

Good attempt with the name Sam...and yes I do have them. I got mine from a dealership for my birthday....got a discount on them because the auto repair shop I worked at then used that dealership to get all their Ford parts. Had to change a few things around for them to work but overall rather easy mod...and looks alot better.

so the 4th gen bolt right up to the 3rd gen with no problems? why kind of things did you have to "change" for them to work fyrfyter?

Why? Check out RockAuto.com. $88 a piece compared to $120 at the dealership.

Well...had to change the socket and bulb for the reverse lights, had to add an additional socket and bulb for the upper light and had to change the mounting tabs for the different size mounting bolts.

Thanks BigFellor. Will you PM me the tools and steps you used fyrfyter?
