BTW, NOBODY has condensation issues on this platform, the intercooler is sandwiched between the radiator and the A/C condesor, it's not hapenned to one single Flex or SHO. Please don't start that rumor on this platform.

Is this why? You seem like a smart guy but you keep making assumptions that the Flex/SHO is exactly like the Sport, and that just isn't the case. I would make sure your info is correct before you make such blanket statements and give out wrong information.

The intercooler on a Sport is not between the A/C condenser and radiator.

Ken, I apologize to you and the other guys. I test drove a sport, looked it over quite a bit and due to the engine layout and piping I assumed that the intercoolers were the same. I just looked it up and they are not.
I'll make sure to be more diligent in my research next time.
If Ford has designed the same efficiency they did in the F150 then condensation could be an issue in colder or wetter climates with high humidty.

On the sport the intercooler is in the main grill with nothing in front of it. The condenser is below it. I haven't had many issues but a week or so ago I had major issues when it was raining for a few days non stop and humidity was extremely high. So just as a guess, I think it is in fact condensation but maybe not as bad as the F150.

Really nailing down what that hesitation issue is will always be difficult because no one can accurately duplicate it under test conditions which makes trouble shooting that much worse. Mine hasn't done it in weeks and it's been very hot and humid, so it's just so difficult to get it worked out.

But back on the main topic, this tune rocks :D

thank you for clarifying that..... so its Fords hardware that is making the tune VIN specific?

In the past with my other tuned cars I was able to resell the tune and its hardware it came with for example with COBB tunes.

I'm not trying to attack you or the other tuner, just clearing things up.:)

My experience as well with other types of these tuning "modules." I just emailed the tuning company and stated I sold the vehicle and a software push removed the "marrying" the device and ecu/vin.

But no big deal as I plan to keep mine for long while.

sounds great... I'm not sure but it sounds as though Ken's tune wont have that option. If it does I'm ready to buy the tune now

Correct, once it's married to the vehicle, there is no changing it.

Jeez....

But back on the point of your tuning efforts. Keep us posted on the down pipes!

Thanks!

Took a good look today at it. First step will be 3" downpipes that mate to the factory exhaust. But I have some other ideas I'm going to try from the downpipe back also.

Today PBH is finishing up the meth install and also doing the 170* thermostat. For those that asked, the thermostat is fairly easy, just have to take the airbox off and you can get to it no problem.

I'm also getting rid of the plasti dip handles and wrapping them with black gloss vinyl. Looks much better.

Here is the first one, sorry about the crappy pic

Wow, mine feels fast, but yours seems MUCH faster! Guess it's time to pull the plugs and get an intake on here.

Same tune, the plugs should make a pretty big difference if you haven't gapped them down. I'm also going to delete the 3rd cat today or tomorrow on mine.

So next time it goes to the track it will have the tune, 170* thermostat, 3rd cat delete and meth injection. Still have the stock airbox for now, but that will go soon.
