I've had my 91 for a year and a half and 30000 miles I want to give it a good tune up. I've allready replaced the plugs and wires and cleaned the maf but it seems to miss in the 2000 rpm range a little bit when accelerating normally. When floored it doesn't miss at all. What could cause this missing and what should I do for a tune up? I have a feeling that just about every thing is original.

get the fuel injectors professionally cleaned...........i think it is time for an engine rebuild too

eh

if youre plugs and wires are good, check the air filter. Dirty? Replace with a K&N drop-in or better yet a KKM True-Rev conical filter kit. That may help..worked for me.

If you do have dirty injectors, just buy a bottle or tow of Redline fuel injector cleaner or even the STP stuff in the black bottle and pour it in with your next fillup..be sure to run the engine harder than normal with the cleaner(higher revs, maybe high speeds if you can) to help too.

I dont think you need a rebuild unless something internal is worn out or broken.

I'd have to suggest replacing the thermostat for a tune up especially if its never been done.

Hey. I have about 165000 miles too. Its running good, except it misses a little when you gas it really hard at about 35 mph. Only when you gas it really hard. What could it be?
