1988 Bronco 11 brake problem

Intermittent, rear brake sticking. Yesterday Front left disc started to pull, and smoke. ??????????

Happens with old age. Sounds like it's time to rebuild, or replace the wheel cylinders and calipers. Sticky caliper slide pins could also be the culprit: http://www.explorer4x4.com/tips2.html#caliper I would replace the drum brake hardware at the same time. It's cheap, and will give you all new springs.
 






yep pretty much, sound like a brake job is in order, not to hard to rebuild your calipers either. rear might need new wheel cylinders but that isn't rocket science either. good luck
 






If you've never done them, then I would leave one side intact for a guide on how to get it back together.
 












Also check your master cylinder. Almost sounds like it could have an issue. From the problem description you described.
 






Bronco 1 Brakes

Thanks everybody, It turns out all it needed was s brake bleed. Got off cheap,Wife helped, but is was worth it.:D
