1992 ford ranger 4 speed automatic

trans problems

1992 ford ranger 4 speed automatic was having problems shifting from 3-4 checked the modulator had a lot of fluid in line. i changed the modulator and now the transmission does not want to shift does not want to go over 30 mph. before i changed the modulator engine seemed to have vacum leak after motor was idled down and sounded better just want run can someone please help

problems shifting from 3-4 checked modulator line was full of fluid changed out modulator now the transmisson want shift at all. it does not want to go pass 30 mph before i changed modulator engine sounded like it had vacum leak after engine sounded a lot smoother just want run can someone help
 






Welcome to this forum! I've merged both of your threads. Did you clean out the bore where the pin from the modulator goes? Did you replace the pin? They could easily get lost. Did you clean out the vacuum line?
 






did not blow line out will do this , did not know it had a pin were is it located thanks for the help
 












thanks for the heads up on pin must have fell out when i pulled the modulator out never seen it truck is now running better than ever again thanks for the help
