1991 Ford Explorer XL 4.0
I bought the cleanest, most gently used 4.0 ohv motor at the local scrap yard out of a 1995 ford explorer with a 4.0l ohv. The only difference to the motor that I could find besides the intake that I’ve already changed over was the intake and the cam position sensor. I have the plate cover from original motor that replaces the cam position sensor. Do I need to swap anything else to the 1995 from the original 91 motor for it to operate properly?

You should only be using the 95 block and heads
Everything else should be from your 91 including the oil pan
The cam synchronizer drives the oil pump so do not remove it unless you install the proper delete from the 91
